Hi mum!

 The Critics

Show us the door, bro.

Big thanks to everyone who came out and supported the Candy for Brains art show (friends, family, strangers). We packed the skate shop for over 2 hours and sold a good majority of the art! Much love!
Special big thanks to shop owner George for letting us take over his spot, sell art, and celebrate. Shout out to Gabby, Claire, and Eric for making all 3 events back to back to back... You're amazing. Hugs and kisses to my sister and JC for helping out on the show at the very last minute. Love all you guys! And to everyone who picked an art piece... You keep us driving forward.
Keep ya posted on the next one!
Keep the faith. Xoxo, -J

Shark Toys record release show.

I packed up my Saturday sorta early because I didn't wanna miss out on this one.
Shark Toys record release show at Permanent Records in Eagle Rock 01/26/2013
First band to open up, Wounded Lion. I had no idea Lars from The Intelligence drummed in this band, so that was a pleasant surprise. Had to say what's up to that dude cause lately I've been running into him.

Picked up a bottle of whiskey and a bag of chips because you never know what can happen at a show like this. You gotta be prepared. You gotta be on your toes. You gotta be sharp! One minute you could be dancing, the next minute you could be catching someone.

Wounded Lion (In The Red Records)

 Shark Toys (Dead Beat Records)

I wanna apologize to this guy on the left. I kept pushing him on a certain song (Library) that I really dig. I wanted him to push me back but what I got instead was a smile. Sorry, dude.

Shark Toys nailed it. A perfect way to greet the public with their new record. If anything, it sounded too clean. Too perfect. I was hoping people were gonna get a bit restless but they stood in their places. But like I said, you never know what can happen at a show like this. So I packed up my snacks and slapped my butt to make sure I still had my wallet. Because one thing was for certain, I wasn't gonna go home with out my god damn clear vinyl!

 Job done. Cheers guys!

Also, support this record shop if you happen to be around the LA area. The owner lady is super sweet and the shop is very well setup and organized. Records there are well priced, but if you're broke, at least pick up a button or two.

When I die...

my daughter's eyes will come to haunt you.

Sources are out that Ty Segall has formed a new band with his guitar player Charlie Mootheart called "Fuzz". What's it sound like? Like someone punched a hole in your 12" Peavey amp because you didn't pay up the 20 bucks you owed their girlfriend 5 years ago.
Ty Segall just won't stop. It makes you wonder, whats this guy's daily life based around? Where some bands are stuck on 1 record in 3 years this guy's released 3 records in the past year. Damn, he makes everyone look lazy.

I took this picture less then a month ago at his show.
(Left) Ty Segall, just chillin' like he isn't busy.

Surprise, surprise!

Thee Oh Sees slap L.A. in the face with an unannounced show! Had to sneak in for this puppy.

Another amazing dude.
Lars Finberg
(band)
The Intelligence

Where to start? S.F. native band that keeps you on your toes wanting more. Always on the road and always recording. Had a chat with Mike the drummer on how he stays healthy constantly being on the road. He told me, eating Subway helps out a lot. That and watching the Raiders play. How does watching the Raiders play keep you healthy? Easy, he's a 49er's fan! Hahaha!
Viva le Oh Sees!!!
