Copper Kettle Brewing Company

I went to visit my buddy Fernando in Denver a few months back, and when I got there he wouldn't shut up about this beer called the Mexican Chocolate Stout severed at this brewery called the Copper Kettle. I had enough of him running on about this, so after the 7th day I decided to head out with him to give it a taste test and see how "amazing" this beer really was.
I was blown away. I'd never tasted anything like it. This beer really rattled my taste buds and curled my toes. I didn't want it to stop and found myself sipping on my it like a drug fiend hungering for another hit. I needed to get to the bottom of what was in this thing. So I asked the owner if I could have a quick interview and tour of his microbrewery.

From the history of Copper Kettle Brewing Company, to the processes of making their magical beer - Jeremy gives us a run down of his operation and also tells us what's it like being a brewer in Denver.
What a swell dude!

Stop by this place if you happen to be in the area, grab a beer, and shake this dude's hand.

Shark Toys record release show.

I packed up my Saturday sorta early because I didn't wanna miss out on this one.
Shark Toys record release show at Permanent Records in Eagle Rock 01/26/2013
First band to open up, Wounded Lion. I had no idea Lars from The Intelligence drummed in this band, so that was a pleasant surprise. Had to say what's up to that dude cause lately I've been running into him.

Picked up a bottle of whiskey and a bag of chips because you never know what can happen at a show like this. You gotta be prepared. You gotta be on your toes. You gotta be sharp! One minute you could be dancing, the next minute you could be catching someone.

Wounded Lion (In The Red Records)

 Shark Toys (Dead Beat Records)

I wanna apologize to this guy on the left. I kept pushing him on a certain song (Library) that I really dig. I wanted him to push me back but what I got instead was a smile. Sorry, dude.

Shark Toys nailed it. A perfect way to greet the public with their new record. If anything, it sounded too clean. Too perfect. I was hoping people were gonna get a bit restless but they stood in their places. But like I said, you never know what can happen at a show like this. So I packed up my snacks and slapped my butt to make sure I still had my wallet. Because one thing was for certain, I wasn't gonna go home with out my god damn clear vinyl!

 Job done. Cheers guys!

Also, support this record shop if you happen to be around the LA area. The owner lady is super sweet and the shop is very well setup and organized. Records there are well priced, but if you're broke, at least pick up a button or two.

When you lose your love...

it's really time to learn how to lose.

Back at the old address, drums and amps are now staged in my bedroom. So even though you never came over before, you really can't come over now. Unless you have some wine? If that's the case I can make a little room for us between the kick-drum and guitar amps. Xo

Never Forget the Warriors...

Zig Zags at the Cha Cha playing vinyl, promoting their new tape...

Had a good chit-chat with Patrick (left) about upcoming stuff with the band and how hard it is to schedule a jam sessions with your fingers and toes running so wild. Love this dude.

Then we had a good chat about this record that he's totally jazzed about.

My bro (left left) Bobby (left) Record (center) Pat being Pat (right)

Jed (center)

Peep the wicked tape cover!

Yes, that is a frog smoking a joint.
14 tracks of face planting, knee thrashing shit...
take my word for it.

OUT NOW on Burger Records. Pick this puppy up here!

We were all sick and tired of reasoning...

01/12/2-13 The Smell, Los Angeles, CA.

(Regal Degal)

The headliner's were C.R.A.S.H. What kinda sound? Punk. No subcategories here folks, let's not dick around on that note. Their sound is Punk - that's it. At times it's nice to get a solid kick in the teeth, ya know? Straight bullseye shot right in the kisser, and that's what these dude's did. They kept their set short and sweet. No hello, no thank you, no good night everyone. They left the crowd wondering if that was all. A room full of stunned faces, but not in a disappointing way. No, sir.

(C.R.A.S.H.)

...then I was off to bed, and slept like a baby.
